This was my 3rd or 4th time staying at this property. The entire stay was absolutely excellent.
We were upgraded to the Mediterranean suite... with that, the tone of the stay was set. They must have just renovated because the space was impeccable. Many small design touches to mention, but will keep it short. A great space to work with multiple electric plugs and fast internet. A perfect table for 4 to sit and eat comfortably in the room. 2 sofas in the main space wit a huge coffee table; very easy to entertain visiting friends in the room. King Size bed (highly unusual in Israel). Amazing view of the sea as well as the city from both balconies. The kicker was a huge bathroom with separate shower and a large 2 person bathtub (unusual in Israel) with a stunning view that looked right out onto the Mediterranean from the tub. It was unbelievably stunning.
Extremely well trained. Extremely professional, nearly everyone was fluent in English. They took very good care of us, we had few if any requests as everything was generally provided in advance of us even asking.
We had breakfast every day in the main restaurant. We also had Friday night dinner at the same restaurant. The food was very good. It's buffet style, so lots of options for everyone. My one suggestion here would be to have separate bus staff and waiters. I found it relatively confusing regarding beverages in the morning (you have to get them from a central place). I say confusing, because what if the central place did not have a beverage that we wanted. Some morning our coffee cups did not have tea spoons. The staff there were doing both wait duties and bus duties. I would suggest having the roles separated. Let the wait staff earn tips by pouring and providing beverages as requested by clients.
Unique Touch Points:
1) The general manager left me a note in my room which I appreciated considering the size of the hotel and number of guests.
2) The GM also left me a voucher for 75 shekels approx $15 USD for drinks at the lobby bar. It was completely unnecessary but totally appreciated.
Good to Know:
The lounge at this hotel is more of a business lounge as opposed to a traditional club lounge. They restrict entry to adults over 18 only. As I was travelling with my wife and small infant, we were not able to bring her in. They accommodated our breakfast at the other full service restaurant. More of an FYI, not at all a complaint.
